What is a Psychic?
Most of us feel that they base their view on the world through physical senses. What we see, hear, touch, smell and taste shifts to our mind; the area of ourselves that allows us to relate them to experiences. Our mind lets us combine and/or compare our experiences of the past to our current ones, which lead to our current actions. We do not notice this process on a conscious level most of the time. For example when we put a pen to paper to write something most of us will have what we are planning to write or write about in our minds as we grab the pen and put it to the paper. We wouldn’t consciously think ‘ I have to pick up this pen with my hand, hold it between my fingers, move my hand onto the paper and place the tip of the pen on it …etc’ before we begin to write what we had intended too. We would not and due to our mentally programming nature we do not need to acknowledge the process of ‘ how ‘ or ‘ why ‘ we do most things.
Whether we admit it or not occasionally, we base knowledge on something that has nothing to do with our psychical senses. We ‘just know’ or ‘feel’ something. There are various names we give this knowledge; intuition, ESP (extra sensory perception), Sixth sense, gut feeling… Regularly we receive these signs or messages at times we would not expect them. For instance, someone may have stayed home on Tuesday nights because she has an early work shift the following morning. However, one Tuesday night out of the blue she decide to ask everyone in their house hold if they would like to go out for dinner and drinks. It is not usual for everyone to want to go out on a weekday too but oddly, everyone that night goes out. When they all come home, they open the door to find their house turned upside down and goods stolen. They are very disappointed with the loss of their material valuables but grateful that no one was home to face what could have been a dangerous situation. This would be an example where a subtle realization suggested by the out of ordinary behavior protected a group of people.
Sub conscious ‘knowing’ can lead us to safety, but other forms of elusive ‘realizations’ present themselves to motivate, inform and direct in our personal, professional, social and sometimes other contexts. Very regularly, we shrug off any indirect messages we receive and assume that they are just coincidences. This occurs even when our imagination presents itself to be more than that.
All of us hold the gift of detecting feelings and occurrences without needing to use our five psychical senses. Even though we cannot explain it with psychical terms and may deny its existence, we cannot escape it because it sits within our physical, emotional, and superphysical existence.
Just like some people are born with a knack for certain skills (eg art skills, musical skills….etc) others are put onto this earth with a psychic awareness. Eventual understanding of this ‘not ordinary’ and natural ability to sense beyond many peoples comprehension in older years may make a person react negatively or positively to it. Some people with psychic ability choose to ignore their gift if they are discouraged or not encouraged by their family and friends. Other’s become frightened. While a few display intrigue towards their gift. This group eventually accepts that their psychic perception is a part of them and with practice; they build a conscious link to their psychic ability.
'' Just like some people are born with a knack for certain skills (eg art skills, musical skills….etc) others are put onto this earth with a psychic awareness... ''
Developed psychics know that the mind gathers, dispenses and maneuvers information while sitting in many less obvious layers. These psychics are able to let the pictures, feelings, thoughts and sensations from their deepest parts of themselves be exposed to them without inner reservations.Sometimes people ask me ‘how can psychics make predictions?’ I respond by telling them;
‘We all predict things everyday. Our habits assist us when we make decisions. Habits are pattern we form and these patterns allow us to interpret signals with or without being consciously aware of it. The choices we made up to this period led us to where we are now. How we reacted to past life, experiences were a part of this process. This continual process occurs in the layers not noticed by most people as well. Even though humans need physical sensations and imagery of psychical matter to detect the indirect meanings, the subtle layers contain the psychic energy created through the past combination of physical and non-physical layers. By using psychic awareness, psychics gather the energy within this undefined universe and pass on the information to clients. With this information they are able to make predictions about the past, present and future with an emphasis on the client’s road for life.’
